About D Street Studios
D Street Studios begins with a love of old industrial buildings and the craftsmanship, materials, scale, and character that are rarely recreated today. Rather than erase that history, the brand preserves it and gives it a new purpose: flexible, inspiring workspaces for modern creators, entrepreneurs, professionals, makers, dancers, photographers, wellness businesses, and other community-minded tenants. The buildings are not treated as static real estate products. Each campus is given a strong foundation and then allowed to evolve as tenants reveal what they need. The result should feel more like a living creative ecosystem than a conventional office building.
Started in 1888 by Charles Walker, the Ontario Dyeing Company once spun dyed, mercerized and bleached 200,000 pounds of yarn per week. The property was last used in the industry to make horse blankets in the 1950’s.
Today it’s 156,000 square feet of creative and light industrial studio space across two campuses — the original 87,000 sq ft D Street building and the 69,000 sq ft Tioga Building. Tioga is now open, welcoming D Street Studios’ growing community of 130+ tenants working in art, photography, dance, and other entrepreneurial pursuits.
